David SmithAs President and CEO, David Smith has positioned Silex Technology America, Inc. as the premier provider of solutions for product networking. Since joining the company in October 2001, Smith has provided the strategic direction for all U.S. operations. He has invested aggressively in strengthening technology innovations, growing the Silex sales organization and expanding engineering and marketing initiatives in the United States. In April 2008 he was appointed as President of the parent company in Japan to further drive Silex’s global strategy in connectivity solutions.

Sharing his strategic vision with customers and an ability to build key relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and channel partners has helped Silex gain technology leadership positions across key industry verticals. Silex is advancing their success in new markets with new customers across a number of industries and geographies. He has enabled Silex Technology and prior employers to team with an impressive array of clients including industry leaders such as: Canon, GE Medical, Ingram, Tiger Direct, Epson, SATO, Honeywell, Fujitsu and Litton Industries.

Keith Sugawara, General Manager

Keith SugawaraAs Silex Technology America's General Manager, Keith Sugawara is responsible for the following initiatives:

  • Drive growth in revenue and profits beyond that of competitors and other Silex Technology subsidiaries.
  • Find new applications/markets for Silex developed technology and “know how”.
  • Develop a world class sales organization to serve customers in North America.

Prior to joining Silex Technology America, Sugawara was president of eStorage, a leading manufacturer of enterprise storage systems. Sugawara was also co-founder of XCD, a successful network printing company. After XCD was acquired by the Troy Group, Sugawara served as president of Troy Wireless.

Sugawara is also a member of Silex Technology Inc.’s executive management team. Sugawara has a B.S. degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
