Avnet Memec Teams up with Silex Technology to Distribute World-Class Networking Solutions |

PHOENIX & TUSTIN, Calif. -- Aug. 16, 2007 -- Avnet Memec, a division of Avnet Electronics Marketing and Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), and Silex Technology America today announce a distribution agreement. Under the pact, Avnet will distribute Silex's line of embedded networking modules in North America.
Silex Technology embedded modules enable OEMs to add wireless or wired networking capabilities to their devices with a minimum amount of development time and effort. Silex solutions include intelligent modules with complete TCP/IP protocol stacks and industry-leading security, as well as basic baseband/radio modules.
