- Easily embed Silex “SX-Virtual Link” (USB over IP) technology inside a USB device

The SX-3000EDM is a compact self-contained embedded Network USB device module with Ethernet and USB interfaces on board. Designed for USB device OEMs who want to cost eectively add network connectivity to their existing USB product with nominal changes to the existing design, SX-3000EDM makes standard USB devices accessible from a Windows or Macintosh computers through gigabit network interface.
The target USB applications include scanners, printers/MFPs, digital TV tuners, disk drives and disk drive enclosures, security and ID readers and encoders, and many more.

The SX-3000GB is able to acquire status information, and allows for the configuration and use of the device
The included SX Virtual Link utility allows you to easily discover the USB devices on the network, connect and disconnect, and see status:

Also included is a web browser interface for configuration and management of the device.

Silex also offers the SX-Virtual Link SDK for Windows or Macintosh, which allows you to design your own custom utility for connection to the USB device over the network.
