Silex Technology America Makes Sewing Easy With StitchLink II Simple

Sewing Enthusiasts who Lack Technology Know-How Can Now Easily Transfer Patterns Wirelessly From a PC to a Sewing Machine

TUSTIN, Calif. – July 25, 2006 – Silex Technology America, Inc. today extended its industry-leading StitchLink™ product line with the introduction of StitchLink II Simple. This wireless sewing machine product is a high-performance solution designed for sewing enthusiasts who either have or do not have a wireless network. StitchLink II Simple installs automatically, eliminating the issues encountered by non-technical users.

When speaking to sewing enthusiasts, Silex found that many had their sewing machine in one room while their PC was in another, creating a challenge for transferring embroidery patterns. Silex’s StitchLink product line addresses this issue by allowing the user to easily download patterns from their PC and send them wirelessly to their sewing machine, eliminating the need for cables, use of USB thumb or storage drives.

With the addition of StitchLink II Simple to the StitchLink product line, silex is setting a new standard for ease-of-use and setup. StitchLink II Simple got its name because it is so simple.

“We created StitchLink II Simple to help non-technical sewing enthusiasts connect their PCs to their sewing machine with a simple installation wizard,” said Keith Sugawara, general manager of Silex’s connectivity and wireless division. “Everything users need is included in the box, all they have to do is put the CD in the computer, connect the sewing machine and PC adapters, click the mouse a few times and the product does the rest.”

About StitchLink II Simple

StitchLink II Simple provides higher performance, greater throughput, and is designed to remove the need for the user to configure a wireless connection by automatically linking the PC to the sewing machine with a few clicks of the mouse.  StitchLink II Simple works with any sewing machine that has a USB connection and is compatible with all of the software applications that are installed. The software applications run exactly as if the machine was directly connected to the PC through a hardwired USB cable. As a result, the user does not have to learn any new commands or procedures in order to download patterns to his or her sewing machine.
