Connect & Play iPod with Audio Device

This page explains how to connect wiDock to an audio device or TV and play music or video stored in the iPod.

1. Connect to audio device

  • Prepare S-video cable by yourself.  It is not bundled with wiDock.

Connect the line out port at the back of wiDock to the audio input port of the audio device using an audio cable.

< Connecting with TV >
Connect an S-video cable from the connector on the back of wiDock to the S-video port on your TV. Then connect the line out port at the back of wiDock to the audio input port of the TV using an audio cable.

2. Play music & video

  1. Place the iPod in wiDock and check that wiDock is in "Play Mode".

    • Operation LED flashes at Play Mode.
    • Please power on wiDock if it is off.

  2. Switch the A/V input of the audio device or TV you want to play on to the source corresponding to the iPod.

  3. Music or video played from the iPod should now be played on the audio device or TV.

    • wiDock does not allow volume control from the iPod. Please control the volume from the audio device.

    • Please refer to the iPod manual for the operation method of iPod.
    • wiDock supports the Apple Remote. Please refer to "Use with Apple Remote" to use the Apple Remote.

  4. When removing the iPod from wiDock, check that wiDock is in Play Mode.

    • Operation LED flashes at Play Mode.
