The SX-10WG and SX-10WAG are high quality mini-PCI wireless LAN modules that are designed specifically for OEM embedded applications. They are used to add 802.11b/g (SX-10WG) or 802.11a/b/g (SX-10WAG) capabilities to devices where the higher-level network processing is done in the OEM device’s processor. Unlike generic mini-PCI modules that are intended for use in laptops, the SX-10WG and SX-10WAG meet the specific requirements of demanding OEMs for features, quality, and support.

WINDOWS DRIVERS FOR SX-10WG AND SX-10WAG
Silex offers Windows 2000/XP binary drivers for the SX-10WG and SX-10WAG. These drivers allow the SX-10WG or SX-10WAG to be used as a standard 802.11 wireless adapter card, with configuration via the Windows Control Panel.
1. Operating procedures
- Download the .EXE file into a directory on your computer’s disk drive.
- Extract the contents of the .EXE file by double clicking on the
file icon and specifying the folder where you want to put the driver
files.
- Power down your computer, and install the SX-10WG.
- Restart your computer. When Windows starts, the Found New
Hardware Wizard will appear. Select the option to install from a
specific location, and specify the folder where you put the driver
files. The driver will then be installed on your computer, and you
will need to restart the computer to make the changes take effect.

LINUX DRIVERS FOR SX-10WG AND SX-10WAG
If you are using Linux or if you want to develop custom drivers, the SX-10WG and SX-10WAG are compatible with the MadWiFi drivers. These drivers are available in source form at www.madwifi.org.
