Power Save Mode in Wireless LAN's - Part 1

Blog PhotoAndrew C. Ross, who is our Senior Field Application Engineer discusses the challenges faced while applying “Power Save Mode” (PSM) in wireless LAN applications in this presentation. As the IoT market expands, applications such as security, sensors and controls will require systems to operate on very low power which makes PSM a very important feature.

As FAE for the embedded wireless products for Silex Technology America, Andrew Ross plays an important role in guiding our customers through the integration of the Silex embedded wireless products, ensuring successful product launches. Andrew’s years of experience in supporting embedded wireless applications are invaluable. He was recently invited to Freescale Technology Forum to present on “Power Save Modes in Wifi”. The slidecast below is based on his presentation at FTF.

This is the first of the 4 slidecasts in the series. This first presentation provides some background on the subject of Power Save issue in WLAN or WiFi and some fundamental constraints surrounding it.PWR Save Issues in Wifi COver page
