Silex Unveils New Website!

This month, Silex Technology America launched a new website. We couldn’t be more thrilled with this launch, as it has encompassed 7 months of work – from building company messaging and positioning, SEO keyword research, re-structuring the site hierarchy and developing new content, designs, and a content management system.

The process began around the same time that I joined Silex Technology. I have seen myself and the website grow together for the last 7 months which is why I feel very passionate and share a strong bond with it. For those who have visited our previous website will find that this is a remarkable upgrade. It has been completely re-coded from the ground up. To completely re-design, re-create, and move everything and everyone over to a new design and code base has been a huge learning experience for me, and our company as a whole.

With the partnership of our marketing firm, TREW Marketing, we have spent endless hours to get our website to where it is today. The transformation that the website has undergone from the initial concept to the final product has been nothing short of amazing, where every detail of the web redesign - from the bullets, text font, icons, images, etc. was discussed.

From the onset of the project, our goals and objectives we aimed to achieve with the website redesign include:

  • Faster, easier to navigate. It is much easier to get to the desired information on our new site. A visitor can now get to the information he/she is seeking within 1-2 clicks.
  • Easier to manage/update. With the new content management system (CMS), we no longer need to rely on a programmer to update the website. Now anyone can update the content, which is crucial, as we continue to grow our web content, that we have multiple people who can control web updates.
  • Tell our story. It is important to us that our clients and potential clients get to know who Silex is as a company. Themes of reliability, security, support, and trust is woven throughout the site, helping us share our story online all day, everyday.
  • Brand Awareness. Our new website is much more consistent with our tagline, “When it Absolutely Must Connect,” and shows how we validate and stand behind these words.

David Smith, President and CEO at Silex Technology America, states “This web site is our most important tool and most often the first impression to anyone wanting to learn about our technology, products and company.  In the 21st era I firmly believe that how our website tells our story is our most important marketing tool. As our company continues to grow, upgrading our website was a very important and necessary step.”
